Nuclear power

           Here we consider the possibilities of using nuclear power and against it. Nuclear power is a good thing because we need a huge energy source for all the electrical devices used in cities. Nuclear power is also a bad thing because of the radiation it gives.

The positive things about nuclear is that it provides enough energy for the town’s or cities to have power. Another positive thing that with the nuclear power we can use it to create weapons to defend ourselves. The cons about nuclear power are that it is expensive to set up and decommission nuclear power plant according to debating Europe. Something negative about it is that having a nuclear power plant also means disposing of the waste and trash that is left behind and people do not know what to do with it.(slate.com) Nuclear power also gives off a lot of radiation which can cause lives of innocent people that are exposed to it.

            We feel that having a nuclear power plant in our city is a horrible idea to have in our state or city. It is a possibility to consider only when a large energy source is needed. We feel that it should not be in our state because the radiation from the power plant can affect the lives of our future generation. It also leaves to much waste that people would not be able to get rid off.

what does it mean to be an american?

            To be an American tome, means to be free. Being an American is a great thing, and many people want to come to America so that their kids can be American and have a better education. Being an American also means justice because every criminal pays for their crime committed and power because the U.S has a strong army. America is a powerful country with a strong army.

            I say to be an American means to be free because I feel that we are able to do what want to do, and we can say what we want to say when it is appropriate because it is not appropriate to say it when an officer of the law is talking to you. Being an American means you were born in America, and you have a great chance to be educated and go to college. It also means that you have a chance to learn and be what you would like to be.

            Being an American means to be able to work in a nice environment with good working conditions and getting payed a fair wage. It means that people will not, discriminate against you for where you are from where you are from or of the color of your skin. It also means you have right to elect your officials because this is a democracy which means the government is run by the people.

            To be an American means to be free and not be a slave. It means to be part of a strong nation and to be able to vote for which president you like. It also means not being made fun of or harmed because of your color, and it means receiving a great education free from kindergarten to grade 12.

Autobiography

   I was born on October 8, 1997 in a hospital in china town. My name is Kevin I am 17 years of age. One thing that people find fascinating about me is that I’m a quick visual learner. My family is from a small town in El Salvador called Santa Anna. My favorite sports are volleyball and soccer.

    I first started to play volley ball in 8th grade when my friends asked me to play so I did and I enjoyed it. I learned to play really quick and when I first started high school I played volleyball for my school and I made the varsity team. I also played soccer in 8^th grade but I didn’t play for school instead I played in a soccer club with my god brother which I enjoyed and I still play now. I wish to keep playing soccer and volleyball so that my I can stay in shape and its things that I enjoy to do. I play soccer because my dad use to play soccer and as a little kid he would always play soccer with me which made me want to play soccer.

    Many of my teachers and friends have told me that I am a quick learner. When I was younger I saw that I learn quicker than others at physical and educational things. I learn quickly I don’t know how but somehow I do even in sports. My goal is to becomes a physicists because I like working with math and science because it’s fun to me especially when it makes me think.   My body somehow also surprise people for example when I go to the weight room people are shocked because people don’t expect so much because I’m a small and people underestimate me.

     My family is from a town in El Salvador called Santa Anna and most of my family is over there. My parents were born in El Salvador and moved to America leaving most of their family in El Salvador. I have gone to El Salvador to visit my family and I enjoyed the time I spent there because I felt more relaxed. My family is a pretty big family that surprised me because of how many kids my grandparents due to the fact that they lived in the country and not in the city.

    When I was younger my family use to live in an apartment which was okay because my aunt was the manager. My mom told me that when we lived there that I was playing on the stairs and fell down the stairs and hit my head and ended opening up my forehead that left a scare on my head. I still remember the apartment that we lived in but I don’t remember how it happened but when I look in mirror I can see where I got hurt.

     My mom still brings up the day that I got hurt and opened my head when she talks to family. I was told by my 8^th grade math teacher that I am a quick learner because I was her top student in her class. My friends sometimes make fun of me because the Salvadorian soccer team isn’t good at soccer but I don’t mind I’m still proud to be Salvadorian. I will keep playing volleyball and soccer while I can until I can’t play anymore.

EPT essay

     The argument that Sue Jozoui makes is that advertisers advertise all types of things with a celebrity so that people buy their product, and Jozoui thinks that this wrong. I disagree with the argument she makes. People might advertise things with a celebrity but it does not force anyone to buy their product.

            I disagree with the argument that she states because if a company does want people to buy their product then they should advertise it with a celebrity, so that people can see that the celebrity uses it as well.  I do not think it is a bad thing because not all advertisements have a celebrity for example the M&M commercials does not have a celebrity it just shows a bunch of people with the M&M cartoon. There are also a lot of other advertisements that do not have a celebrity. Even if they do use a celebrity they only do that so that they can sell their product to people or else people would not buy their product.

            Another reason I disagree is because they are merely advertising products, they are not forcing people to buy their product. People are able to think on their own and if people feel that they should buy it because a celebrity has it well that’s the buyer’s choice if they want to buy the product or not. I myself do not buy their products because I do not really care if a celebrity has it because it might not be useful to me or something necessary.

            Sellers are using celebrities to sell more products. The people are not forced to buy anything from them, they have their own choice. If the sellers did not use celebrities to advertise their products then they would not sell as much of their product. Sellers are not doing anything wrong, people just buy their product.
