EPT essay

     The argument that Sue Jozoui makes is that advertisers advertise all types of things with a celebrity so that people buy their product, and Jozoui thinks that this wrong. I disagree with the argument she makes. People might advertise things with a celebrity but it does not force anyone to buy their product.
            I disagree with the argument that she states because if a company does want people to buy their product then they should advertise it with a celebrity, so that people can see that the celebrity uses it as well.  I do not think it is a bad thing because not all advertisements have a celebrity for example the M&M commercials does not have a celebrity it just shows a bunch of people with the M&M cartoon. There are also a lot of other advertisements that do not have a celebrity. Even if they do use a celebrity they only do that so that they can sell their product to people or else people would not buy their product.
            Another reason I disagree is because they are merely advertising products, they are not forcing people to buy their product. People are able to think on their own and if people feel that they should buy it because a celebrity has it well that’s the buyer’s choice if they want to buy the product or not. I myself do not buy their products because I do not really care if a celebrity has it because it might not be useful to me or something necessary.

            Sellers are using celebrities to sell more products. The people are not forced to buy anything from them, they have their own choice. If the sellers did not use celebrities to advertise their products then they would not sell as much of their product. Sellers are not doing anything wrong, people just buy their product.
